We say; Buy it, OEM is simply the best! 200 plus sold previously without issue bar 1 or 2 said to have broken at the hinge/pin after not much use. We ourselves have Volkswagen keyrings over 8 years old still in use, some mint, some battered, it is all about how they are treated. (with other keys bashing them/coins in pocket/bending over with keys in pocket.. dropping keys, these all can shorten the longevity/dent/scratch the keyring and dare we say even break the keyring, it’s obvious really.
If treated well and paired with only 1 key, it should last many many years! With a bunch of keys they can last months to years but can be broken/damaged easily so treat it well and they’ll not be a scratch months on.)
